What is VBS at Lion of Haiti?
Our Vacation Bible School is a high-energy, transformative 5-day program designed to pour into the lives of children in the community. It is a week where faith comes alive through action, creativity, and fellowship.
1. Gospel Teaching
The heart of VBS is the Word of God. Each day, children dive into age-appropriate lessons that explain the Gospel clearly. We focus on building a strong spiritual foundation, teaching them about the love of Jesus and their identity in Him.
2. Physical Nourishment (2 Meals a Day)
We believe in caring for the whole child. For many participants, the two nutritious meals served daily are a vital resource. By meeting their physical hunger, we ensure they have the energy to learn, play, and focus on the message of the day.
3. Games & Recreation
VBS is a time for joy! Through organized games and team activities, children learn about sportsmanship, cooperation, and leadership. It’s a safe space for them to simply be kids and experience the “lion-hearted” courage and fun of our community.
4. Creative Crafts
Hands-on learning helps the lessons stick. During craft time, children create tangible reminders of the biblical truths they’ve learned. These projects allow them to express their creativity and take a piece of the VBS experience home to share with their families.
